How it works
From article to sale, in three steps.
Publishers keep writing about the products their readers want. Buy the Best counts the clicks and the sales that follow, and pays the publisher for both.

Links to member shops in the article go through Buy the Best.

They land on the shop's own site, and the publisher earns a fee for the click.

If the sale goes through and is not returned, the publisher earns a commission on it.

You pay a fee for each click we send to your site, and a commission on the sales that follow. Your rates are set out in your agreement with us.

A fee for each click through to a member shop, and a commission when a click leads to a sale. Both are paid once the shop has paid us for them; commission also waits for the sale to clear.
One script, very little for editors to do
Add one script to your site, and the links your editors write to a member shop's product pages become referral links on their own. Each article with our links needs a short affiliate disclosure near the top, and we supply the wording.
One monthly statement
Each month, one statement covers every member shop, with clicks and commission broken down by article and by link.

Marketplace clicks count too
Links to the Takealot listings a member shop has declared to us go through Buy the Best as well, so those clicks earn the click fee too.

Statements you can check
Every click and sale you are paid or billed for is counted on a monthly statement, broken down so you can check it.

No reader data sold
We never sell readers' information or give it to an advertising platform, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Respectful of readers' privacy
Our click records never hold a reader's name, email address, phone number or address. Our privacy notice explains what we do record, and any reader can opt out.
